Why should I get frequent service for my vehicle?
Getting your vehicle frequently serviced can be extremely beneficial. When you service your model often, you will be able to keep it in better shape for much longer. Getting oil changes, rotating your tires, and having your vehicle inspected can really help you to enjoy this model much longer than you would be able to if you forgo these services
How will I know if my model needs service?
Oftentimes, your vehicle will alert you if it is time for service. You should always keep track of when you had your last oil change, and keep a close eye on the dashboard lights, as these can be integral in warning you that it is time for a stop into our dealership.
How often do I need an oil change?
Getting an oil change is one of the most important services that you can schedule for your vehicle. When it comes to keeping an eye on your vehicle's oil, you will want to remember a few numbers. If you get traditional oil, it is time for an oil change every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. However, if you use synthetic oil in your vehicle, then you will want to consider an oil change every 10,000 miles. The oil is the lifeblood of your vehicle, so changing it within the proper time frame is integral to the operation of your model.
How often should I change my car's air filter?
Changing your vehicle's air filter is another important process that you won't want to slack on. Typically, your OEM will recommend that you change your filter about once a year, and we are happy to help you do that. Keeping the airflow clean and unblocked is very important, and we are proud to be able to do that.
When should I get my brakes checked?
Getting your brakes checked can be very important, as your brakes are one of you biggest safety components. If you are hearing squeaking or any other noises when braking, this can be a clear sign that you need to have your brakes checked. We also recommend having them checked annually, even if you don't hear any alarming noises when driving or turning.
When should I replace my car's battery?
Replacing your vehicle's battery is also very important. We recommend checking in on the quality of your battery every three years or so.
At O'Connor Volkswagen, we truly can't wait to help you through the servicing process!
